I have always enjoyed working with my hands. Whether it was through beading, sewing, knitting, dyeing, stringing mazes in my grandma's dining room or glueing small pieces of paper into intricate mosaics, I constantly created and made things with my hands. I find myself diving into a new craft every year. But, it doesn't mean I necessarily abandon the old one, I tend to integrate and morph the new skills and interests into new and curious forms of exploration. I am a process curious based artist. I want to know where the materials come from, understand the alchemy behind the making of the thing. While still working with the feelings and intuition of exploring aesthetic manipulation: through color, texture, feel, layer and story. I tend to process emotions through them making. The mix of process and feeling makes up my practice. I enjoy the meditation of the process, the transformation, & I enjoy the flow of aesthetic manipulation. This brief lookbook is a visual glimpse at just a few of my explorations.
