Sheepskin: 1 (bark tanned)
One of my favorite ones I’ve done recently. this guy was actually in bark tan solution all summer long. I abandoned it and then picked it back up and turned out to be one of my softest recent skins.
Hand-tanned Churro breed sheep hide
Tended with care and lots of time and attention
Tanned by hand using non-industrial methods, using emulsified fats, plant tannins and days of physical softening and preening.
This hide was washed multiple times and is clean but does still have some remnant debris (like bits of grass here and there)
Hair on this sheepskin has been kept as a mix of dreadlocks anad brushed to maintain a unique texture and sectioning, but because of that, note again, there is some remaining debris.
Hair on this hide has been dyed in varying degrees from the natural tannins used in the tanning process so varies from white, red, orange, tan. One area has a larger dyed area from the tannin.
machine washable in cold water and on cold setting in the dryer. Air dry to complete. You may want to re-oil the skin side after washing a few times to keep skin soft and pliable.
A small shipping fee will be added when you check out but mainly shipping is included in the bulk of the price.
